Boat Ramp Hours (Summer Schedule)

The downtown boat ramp closes at 9:00 PM on Fridays and reopens at 3:00 PM on Sundays, beginning June 15th through Labor Day weekend.

This helps prevent overcrowding and manages the number of boats on our small lake.
 

Lake Level Management

Findley Lake has a dam located in town that controls the lake’s water level.

Each fall, we open the dam gate and begin lowering the lake - typically starting around October 15th - with the goal of reaching the normal winter level by November 1st. This seasonal drawdown helps to:

1.  Protect breakwalls and docks from potential ice damage
2.  Allow homeowners time to perform maintenance and repairs

In the spring, once the lake is completely free of ice (no specific date), we close the dam gate and allow natural water levels to return. Waiting until all ice has melted is important, as shifting ice can cause significant damage to docks and shoreline structures.
