The gate on the dam is closed for the summer!

The gate on the dam is closed!!!  Now we wait as mother nature fills up the lake.  The DEC has installed the kayak docks and as of today, we're only 15 inches below our normal summer level.  

The boat ramp downtown will be locked Friday evening at 9:00 PM and will reopen Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM, from June 15th until Labor day.

We open the dam and begin to lower the lake October 15th.  This helps to keep docks intact, since ice can sometimes destroy them, and allows for any shoreline work to be done.
